Nursing retention involves keeping and preventing the rate at which nurses, leave and replaced in an organization’s employment such as hospitals and academic nursing institutions. The purpose of this program is to strengthen and come up with ways that will help retain new and current nurses in hospitals to facilitate proper medical services to patients and help maintain and improve people’s health (Hall, 2013). The retention of nurses in hospitals is dependent on a number of factors such as, creating the right culture since nurses wish to work in good environments where they can be successful and provide the kind of care they practiced to deliver to patients. The hospitals should come up with a culture of quality, safety and service that attract nurses and retain the nurses already working in various hospitals around the country.
