Most states have adapted these objectives to the particular needs of their populations. How well are the public health organizations in this country meeting these objectives? One way to assess their progress is to review the data on the Healthy People 2020 Web site as well as on a state’s counterpart site. To prepare for this assignment: Select one of the focus areas of Healthy People 2020 and review the objectives for it at http://healthypeople.gov/2020/topicsobjectives2020/default.aspx Do a search to find out if your state has adapted Healthy People 2012 objectives and if your sate has provided progress towards meeting its objectives Compare the national goals and review your state’s goals.
